Barrister, U.S. Attorney


Courtenay Barklem is barrister, appearing regularly in the High Court and County Courts.  He is also an attorney in California and an adjunct Professor of Law at Pepperdine University. 

He has specialisms in civil/commercial litigation, including construction and cross-border disputes, employment and the regulation of money services businesses.  

Between 2000 and 2018, Courtenay used to practise as a solicitor in a number of high-value complex construction disputes in the High Court, international and investment treaty arbitrations, and other forms of ADR (e.g. expert determination, mediation, adjudication) working for several large and/or multinational construction companies, which included a secondment in-house for a UK PLC.
